Case Study 1
Our client, 42 years old, a Russian and UK resident, is considering a relocation to the UK together with his family, while simultaneously transferring shares in his companies to one of the more tax-efficient jurisdictions.
Together with our partners at ALRUD and CHARLES RUSSELL SPEECHLYS, we have provided an alternative advice on the tax implications of moving his business from Russia to other jurisdictions, analysis of possible tax and other implications of moving the head office of his company to the UK and the possibility of taking an advantage of trust structures for effective tax and inheritance planning and business management.

case study 2
Our client, 50 years old, a UK resident, suddenly learned of the death of a close relative who was living in Russia. The deceased was a wealthy person. He had significant amounts of money left in his Russian and foreign bank accounts as a death estate. The deceased also held a controlling interest in several companies operating in Russia and UK.
In accordance with the will, our client was owed a significant portion of the deceased's estate.
Our involvement consisted in preparing a comprehensive strategy (coordination) for the client's inheritance, considering the legal specifics and tax consequences in Russia and the UK, analysing corporate documents, companies inherited by the client and building tactics of relations with other heirs and other shareholders of inherited companies. During the project we worked in close cooperation with our partners law firms in Russia and UK.
